Report by Badal Tah; Rayagada: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)’s 4th Battalion of Rayagada district organized a Civic Action Programme in the Maoist affected Sindhipadar village under K.Singhpur police limits of Rayagada district. The programme was launched with the objective of combating left wing extremism and bridging the gap between villagers and security personnel through winning their hearts & minds. Shri Manoj Kumar Sharma, Commandant 4th Bn CRPF distributed utensils, blankets, mosquito nets, polythene sheets, tin sheets, sports items and other essential commodities to needy and poor villagers of Sindhipadar, Singari and Kansari villages of Singari Gram Panchayat in the presence of Shri. M.K.Sicon, Second in command, Shri. Niranjan Sahu, Dy.Commandant, Shri Ramanand Prasad, Assistant Commandant 4th Bn CRPF, ASI Prashant Kumar Palaka of Police Station K.Singhpur, Shri. Aashi Saraka, Sarpanch Singari, Shri. Dhanu Goudbisi, Ward Member and Shri Kadraka Ramu, Naib-sarpanch, PRO Sri T.R.Mishra of 4th Bn CRPF. This humble effort was appreciated by the locals and media persons as it was the first ever attempt to conduct such event in this remote area of the district. Commandant Sharma further added through a press release that such event would be continued in future also.
