Report by Odisha Diary bureau, Nabarangpur: Nabarangpur is a district situated in south odisha, covered with beautiful mountain and natural beauty just scenic, Serene and sublime. The district holds a prestigious festival named MONDEI to promote the local tribal culture and their tradition with a pallishree mela every year in the district itself. The festival started on 19 and 21st January was the closing day. Every day numbers of artist had performed with live orchestra, sambalpuri, Dhengda Dhangdi naach, Bhangda, Odissi, Saura , tribal folk dance were being presented. The major attraction this year in the finale was saswat joshi and his team Lasyakala’s odissi performance. The cultural evening started with devi stutee , followed by jhulana jatra and vande mataram. Also Lasyakala gave a tribute to the legendary late Akshay Mohanty and the Rangabati. Bibhudutta Das, Jyoti Prangya das, preetinanda panda, Priyadarshini Naik Patra, Asima Priyadarshini, Akankshya kumari and the star dancer Ananya Mohapatra along with Saswat Joshi had given a pulsating performance. The thousand and thousand audience were waiting to celebrate the finale evening with rangabati. Versatile Akankshya kumari entered the stage with heavy clapping and saswat joshi made public to dance on his dancing feet. The Collector Mrs. Rashmita panda gave the heartfelt thanks to all the public and artist.
